Assigned Successor to Grandmaster Kalaii Kano Griffin Professor Russell Correia began training in 1984. He has over twenty-three years of experience in martial arts through training and leadership under Grand Master Kalaii Griffin. He has taught for the last thirteen years. In 2008 he earned the rank of 8th Dan which is his current rank. He was inducted into the Kenpojujitsu Black Belt Hall of Fame as Outstanding Regional Assistant Instructor and was assigned as an International Representative of Griffin’s Judo & Karate. In 2002 he was inducted into Action Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame for Outstanding Achievements in Promoting the Martial Arts and a recipient of the Griffin’s Judo & Karate Kwan Ming Wah Award. He was a recipient of the Action Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame’s Continuance of Excellence Award for the “Preservation of the Martial Arts” in 2003 & 2004. He also received the Griffin’s Judo & Karate Kwan Ming Wah Award in 2004. He was instructor at the Southwestern Connecticut YMCA in Norwich (9/00 to 4/04) and in Waterford (9/93 to 5/04). Since 6/04 he has been the owner/head instructor of Red Tiger Kajukenbo Karate Studio: A licensed division of Griffin’s Judo & Karate International. He is a certified Black Belt instructor in Chinese Kenpo and Kajukenbo. Sifu Williams has trained in Kenpo/Kajukenbo for 20 years under the direction of Grandmaster Kalaii Griffin. Sifu Ronna Shea has 16 years of experience in the martial arts through training and leadership under Grand Master Kalaii Griffin. She has taught for the last 10 years. In 2001 she was assigned as an International Representative of Griffin’s Judo & Karate. She was inducted into Action Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame as Outstanding Instructor, earned the rank of 3rd Dan and was a recipient of Griffin’s Judo & Karate’s Iron Dragon Award in 2002. She received Action Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame’s Continuance of Excellence Award for the “Preservation of Martial Arts” (2003, 2004), Griffin’s Judo & Karate’s Kwan Ming Wah Award (2003), and Kohana Award (2004). Since 1998 she has been assistant instructor at the New Leadership Charter School; Tai Chi instructor at the Ware Senior Center, Valley View, Warren Senior Center; West Brookfield Senior Center; and the owner/head instructor of Griffin’s Karate. She is a certified Black Belt instructor in Chinese Kenpo and Kajukenbo. Sifu Shea now serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Griffin’s Judo & Karate/Kajukenbo International. Sifu Christopher Newbury has 24 years of experience in the martial arts through training and leadership under Grand Master Kalaii Griffin. From 12/83 to 5/85 he was head instructor at Western New England College Branch of Griffin’s Judo & Karate. Since 1/99 he has been head instructor of Bridgemill Kajukenbo in Canton, GA. In 2001 he earned the rank of ShoDan in Chinese Kenpo and Sibak in Kajukenbo – Emperado Method. He received the Spirit Award from the Action Martial Arts Black Belt Hall of Fame for Excellence in Training (2002), Excellence in Martial Arts (2003), and Goodwill Ambassador to the Martial Arts (2004-2009). He was appointed International Business Manager for Griffin’s Judo & Karate International by GM Griffin in 2003. He began training in Yang Style Tai Chi, Ichuan, and Kung Fu in 2003. In 2004 he was recipient of the coveted Griffin’s Judo & Karate Iron Dragon Award. He is a Software Sales Executive for IBM and a Managing Principal of KANDU LLC, a commercial development company. He is a certified Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo and Kajukenbo. He is a graduate with Bachelor of Science in Engineering Management from Western New England College (1986). Sifu Newbury now serves as a member of the Board of Advisors for Griffin’s Judo & Karate/Kajukenbo International. Sibak Cruz has been studying martial arts for 19 years under the direction and guidance of Grandmaster Kalaii Kano Griffin. He holds a 2nd degree in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and a 2nd degree in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sibak Cruz is also trained under Grandmaster Griffin in Judo. During his years of study, Sibak Cruz has competed in numerous tournaments at many different levels and holds a championship record in both Kata and Kumite, including holding a winning record in full contact karate.Sibak Picard has been studying martial arts for 9 years. He trained at Griffin’s Karate Studio in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts under Sifu Johnathan Williams and under the direction and guidance of Grandmaster Kalaii Kano Griffin. He holds a 2nd degree in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and a 2nd degree in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sibak William D. Pieczarka started taking Chinese Kenpo/Kajukenbo in 1992 at Griffin’s Karate Studio in Indian Orchard, Massachusetts under Sifu Johnathan Williams and the direct guidance of Grandmaster Kalaii K. Griffin. Sibak Billy earned his first degree black belt in October of 2000, just before he joined the United States Marine Corps. Sibak Billy then received his official Black Belt paper work on June 30, 2001. Sibak Billy has travelled extensively with Grandmaster Griffin, having attended many Kajukenbo seminars and tournaments. He has received many awards in the program, including the most dedicated certificate of award in 1995, The Certificate of Achievement for Professor Eric Lee, Outstanding Assistant Instructor I.O. 1999, Staff Appreciation Award 2005, several Certificates of Participations in Special Fighting Clinics, and several 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and Grand Champion trophies in Kumite, Kata and Self Defense. Sibak Billy trained full-time from the day he started in the Indian Orchard Branch under Sifu Williams up until the day he joined the United States Marine Corps and left for boot camp in Paris Island, North Carolina. Currently, he is still active duty and serves our great country overseas and in the United States. Sibak Billy has completed 2 successful tours of Iraq in the Al Anbar providence in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom. He has served in countries all around the globe to include Okinawa, Japan; Iwa Jima; Indonesia; Thailand; and Balabac & Ternate, Philippines. He is currently stationed in 29 Palms, California getting ready to deploy again overseas in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Sibak Billy is also ranked as a Green Belt in Okinawa Kempo under Sensei Kiyan Tooru. Sibak Billy trained in Okinawa Kempo for the past 2 years. Sibak Billy is also actively training in the Marine Corps Martial Arts Program (MCMP) and is holding a Gray Belt.School: Waterford Karate Club Sibak Brown has been studying Martial Arts for 8 years. His instruction has come from both Professor Correia and Grand Master Kalaii Griffin, in the discipline of Kajukenbo Karate. Sibak Brown currently holds the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt and is certified to teach Kajukenbo Karate. During his years of study Sibak Brown has attended numerous tournaments. Competing in multiple divisions he holds an impressive winning record. Over the years Sibak Brown has attended a number of Kajukenbo Seminars to help enhance his knowledge of the Art of Kajukenbo. Sibak Brown was a 2007 Inductee into the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame for Outstanding Dedication to the Martial Arts. Sibak Brown has been assisting in instruction for the last 4 years under Sigung Correia, previously through both the YMCA of Southeastern Connecticut and presently with The Red Tiger Kajukenbo Karate Studio (a licensed Division of Griffin’s Judo and Karate International). Sibak Brown currently teaches Kajukenbo Karate through The Waterford Karate Club in Waterford, CT. Sibak Brown is a member in good standing with The Kajukenbo Self Defense Institute. Sibak Leon Gaumond, Jr. has been studying Kajukenbo since early 2001. His instruction has come from both Sifu John Williams and Grand Master Kalaii Griffin. Sibak Gaumond currently holds the ranks of 1st Degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo and 1st Degree Black Belt in Chinese Kenpo and is certified to teach in both of these styles. School: Winsted Kajukenbo Club Sibak Hanlan has been studying Martial Arts for 9 years. Sibak Hanlan currently holds the rank of 1st Degree Black Belt in Kajukenbo and Chinese Kenpo and is certified to teach in both of these styles.
Sibak Chuck Griffin, 1st Dan, is the grandson of the late, legendary Grandmaster Griffin. He has studied martial arts for over 16 years, starting at the age of ten years old. He has studied Kajukenbo and Vee Jitsu under the direct tutelage of his Grandfather.
Sibak Patrick Brown started studying karate when he was 7. He currently holds the rank of 1st degree black belt in both Kajukenbo and Chinese Kenpo. Sibak Patrick Brown is a member in good standing with KSDI.
Sibak Tony Endozo has been studying martials arts for 15 years, 6 of those years under the direction of Sifu Chris Newbury and Grandmaster Kalaii Kano Griffin. He holds the rank of 1st degree in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin and the rank of 1st degree in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sibak Endozo has also studied Shotokan karate for numerous years. Sibak Endozo has been assisting in instruction under Sifu Newbury at the Bridgemill Kajukenbo Branch in Georgia and continues to train under Sifu Newbury. Sibak Endozo is a member in good standing with KSDI and in 2010 was inducted into the Action Martial Arts Magazine Hall of Fame for Outstanding Dedication to the Martial Arts. During his years of study, Sibak Endozo has competed in numerous tournaments throughout the country at various levels and has placed first in his divisions in Kumite, Kata and Self Defense.

He holds the rank of Black Belt, 1st Dan in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sibak Melendez is also trained under Grandmaster Griffin in Judo and Escrima.
Sisook Judd has been studying martial arts for 6 years under the direction and guidance of Grandmaster Kalaii Kano Griffin. She holds the rank of Black Belt Apprentice in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sisook Judd is also trained under Grandmaster Griffin in Judo.

She holds the rank of Black Belt Apprentice in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. She holds the rank of Black Belt Apprentice in Kajukenbo, Emperado Method of Hawaii, K.S.D.I. under Grandmaster Griffin; and in Chinese Kenpo under Grandmaster Griffin. Sisook Narreau has received numerous awards and honors including, but not limited to; KGIKKA Oustanding Senior Competitor, 3 years in a row and KGIKKA Most Improved Female Student. Sisook Narreau has competed in numerous tournaments throughout New England as well as Las Vegas at many different levels and holds a championship record in Kata, Kumite and Self-Defense. |
